Earlier this year, my friend, Jasmine Wall of The Imagination Spot forwarded an email from Gift Shop Magazine, "You should enter this," she said.
The email was about a contest in Gift Shop Magazine for the most creative displays. We had just recently added on to our shop and redone a lot of the displays, so everything was looking tip top. I put Jacie on the task of taking photos and writing up our entry.
Much to my surprise, we made the list of finalists! It was pretty neat that Essenhaus, another Elkhart County shop, also made the cut in this National Magazine. (If you follow us and haven't visited Elkhart County, please put it on your To Visit list!)
There was a period of online voting, in which, we couldn't see where we ranked. Then out of the blue, I got an email that we had won! This was back in February, and we weren't allowed to announce it on Social Media. It was really hard to keep the secret.
I was interviewed by the lovely, Debbie Eisele, and Jacie prepped more photos for the spread.
Today I received my copy of Museums & More, one of their publications, and was proud to see our spread!
A very special thank you to all of my truly amazing customers that took time to vote. Thank you to Jacie and her artistic skills that created our super cute displays and then took beautiful photos of the shop.
Also, thank you Gift Shop Magazine for hosting the award and to DM Merchandising for their prize of a Krumbs kitchenware display.
All of this made for a very sunny, happy Monday!
