Handmade Soap Process and Ingredients
Q: What's in your handmade soap?
A: Our basic soap recipe is: Coconut Oil, Organic Olive Oil, Organic Sunflower Oil, Distilled Water, Sodium Hydroxide, Buttermilk, Shea Butter, Avocado Oil, Apricot Kernel Oil, Essential Oil or Fragrance. Sometimes we add color with micas, and sometimes we add exfoliants.
-Some of our soaps are made with beer, wine, coffee and tea instead of buttermilk
-We also have a fragrance free soap the Honey Oat Soap and Milk & Honey Shampoo Soap
Q: Do you use any animal products in your soaps?
A: Yes, we use buttermilk, honey and beeswax in some of our items. We do have some vegan items. The brewed soaps, Dandewilde Affirmation soaps, and Kettle Lake Forest soaps and most of the shampoo soaps are vegan. Search Vegan in the search bar for more details.
Allergies and Sensitivities to Soap and Fragrance
Q: I'm allergic to fragrance. Do you have any soap for me?
A: Yes, Carrot Calendula, Honey Oat Soap and Milk & Honey Shampoo Soap are fragrance free. We also carry unscented foaming soap, unscented room spray, unscented body butter and unflavored lip balm.
Soap Bar Size, Use and Storage
Q: What's the size of your soap?
A: 4.5 ounces
Q: How long does a bar of your soap typically last?
A: Depends on how you're using the bar. If you have it by the sink, and you're using a soap saver, it could last 6 months to a year. In the shower, they generally last about a month. Shampoo and shaving soaps last longer.
Q: What should I do to make my soap last longer?
A: We recommend using a soap saver or a soap net. Both of these help dry the soap and help the soap last much longer.
Q: How should we store our year's worth of soap?
A: In a cool, dark area. Storing the soap in a cabinet is great and makes everything around smell wonderful.
Q: Can I use your soap to wash my hair?
A: Yes, we offer a variety of shampoo soaps.

Q: How is my order shipped?
A: We charge a flat fee for all shipping and ship through USPS. Your order is packaged in a Soapy Gnome labeled box in most cases.
Q: When will my order be shipped?
A: Your order will usually ship the next business day. During the holidays, please allow 2-3 business days for shipping.
Q: Will you ship to International Locations?
A: No, we only ship to the US and Puerto Rico.
Q: What is your return policy?
A: If there are issues with your product please email us at hello@soapygnome.com so we can make your order right.

Weddings, Showers and Gift Baskets
Q: Do you do guest favors for Weddings, Bridal or Baby Showers?
A: Yes we do! For custom orders we need 5 weeks. If you want to purchase what we have on the floor no lead time is required.
Q: Do you create custom gift baskets?
A: Yes we do! We have a variety of options for custom gift baskets.

Q: How do I earn points?
A: This is very easy. First you must sign-up while you visit the store or online, because this is what allows your points to accumulate. You earn 5 points for creating an account. Then just shop!
For every dollar you spend, you earn a point.. Couldn't be any easier. Points accumulate on all items available in our store but not on shipping or tax. Retail Products only - not wholesale.
Other opportunities to earn points: refer a friend or family member (get reward for every friend who buys with your link), share your wishlist (5 pts.), complete your profile, (reward on birthday, Facebook page visit, follow us on Instagram, leave a review, subscribe to our newsletter.
Q: How do I know how many points I have earned?
A: You can login in to your account anytime at soapygnome.com under the rewards button. Here you will be able to see how many points you have earned and what rewards you have available.
