Job: Public Relations, Marketing, or Graphic Design Internship
Soapy Gnome is looking for a graphic design and/or marketing student to work as a paid intern. This is an immediate opening, but we could arrange a summer internship for course credit as well.
Hours can be flexible and will be about 5 hours a week during the school year. More hours could be available if you can work Saturdays in a sales associate role.
Graphic Design
- Social Media photos and graphics
- Creating labels for our soaps in Illustrator
- Creating web graphics in Canva.
- Create wholesale line sheets in Canva
- Take lightbox photos for website
- Take photos to use on social media
Marketing/PR Intern
- Investigate and reach out to print and digital magazines for product features.
- Write content to be used on website: product descriptions, blogs, etc.
- Write content for newsletters
- Help with our social media by taking photos, writing descriptions, creating reels and short videos
This is an in person internship.
Pay will be determined based on experience and capabilities.

Qualifications
Graphic Design Qualifications
- A good eye for design
- Basic knowledge of Adobe products
- Understands photography composition and can take a nice photo (with a smart phone is fine)
- Problem solver –willingness to figure things out when the answer isn’t clear and ask clarifying questions as needed
- Self starter
- Team player and drama free
PR/Marketing Intern Qualifications
- Great writing skills
- Photography skills are a huge plus — good composition with a smart phone is fine
- Familiarity with Instagram, Facebook, Pinterest, and TikTok preferred.
- Familiarity with blogging platforms is a plus
- Problem solver –willingness to figure things out when the answer isn’t clear and ask clarifying questions as needed
- Self starter
- Team player and drama free
Must be vaxxed and boosted and wear a mask while in the shop.
